The next dance is April 4th!

Saturday, March 29th, 2008

Join us on Friday 7:30pm-10:30pm at the regular spot in the woods down by the creek in Danville at the Grange. We have booked Gary Clayton as DJ. You know he will play most of your requests, so you are bound to enjoy yourselves. Celebrate spring and get some exercise before summer is here.

The dance was great. See the photos.

Green and White Dance

Thursday, March 20th, 2008

neil haleThank you to all the dancers who came on Saturday to celebrate and dance and support the club. See a few pictures below of the earlybirds. Neil Hale called all of our requests and kept us dancing as usual, with a great mixture of classics, standards, and new dances.

One of the highlights was the arrival of Bob and Max who had been stopped on Vasco Road, along with all other southbound drivers, at a sobriety checkpoint. They both passed, of course. Nancy had a special dog biscuit for Max, so I am sure he will return. Penny made fudge cake squares that were a chocolate lover’s dream.

Green was the dominant color on the floor. Marie and Bill were dressed for St. Paddy’s Day, as were most of us to some degree. I think Karen made the shamrock printed shirt that she wore! Jim’s shirt is from Ireland.

So, now we look forward to our next dance on Friday, April 4th with Gary Clayton as the DJ.

Dance as if no one were watching,
Sing as if no one were listening,
And live every day as if it were your last.

Saturday March 15 - Green & White Dance - DJ: Neil Hale

Yes! Wear your green and dance at the Grange on Saturday night. We welcome members and guests who like dancing with us. We dance classic, standard, and new line dances. Couples get a chance to two-step, swing, waltz, and sometimes do the “whiskey wiggle” around the line dancers.
